In a context marked by challenges such as labor shortages, inflation, and environmental concerns, we continue to move forward. Our strategic investments, such as the addition of a third automated production line, are essential in addressing these new challenges. ⚙️📈

Finally, climate change and its future challenges remain one of our key concerns. Since 2019, our LEED certification has reflected our commitment to sustainability, with concrete initiatives such as large windows to maximize natural light, LED lighting, and a glycol-based radiant floor that recovers heat from manufacturing equipment. 🌍✅

Since 2021, this machine has enabled our production line to tackle new challenges!

LEA (that’s her nickname) handles everything from aligning pieces to boxing and palletizing, all in a fully automated process at an impressive speed of up to 600 pieces and 100 boxes per minute.

This machine automates our packaging process with advanced technologies, such as quick flavor adjustments via servomotors and precise weight control.

Being mostly electronic, LÉA requires precise maintenance, including weekly inspections. For example, slow-motion videos help us analyze real-time adjustments. A real challenge due to her high speed!

It all started in 1985 with the creation of “Aliments Rapides” by Gilles Laflamme. At the time, the company specialized in ready-to-eat meals before shifting its focus in 1995 to marshmallow crispy rice squares.

In 2001, Martin Joyal took the helm and transformed the company into “Rapid Snack” with a clear ambition: to expand into new markets beyond Quebec. 🌍

In 2010, Rapid Snack became Yourbarfactory, aiming to develop a wider variety of bars—health bars, protein bars, granola bars, and more. By 2024, Yourbarfactory had reached an incredible milestone: 100 million units sold worldwide! 🍫

Today, 23 years later, Gilles Laflamme visited and witnessed firsthand the incredible evolution of what was once a small company, now a key player in the custom bar market. A wonderful moment of exchange between two pivotal figures in the history of Yourbarfactory. ✨
